"Derksen fence rocks!"

"While the fence Derksen installed is great and we are happy with it, I cannot give them a great review - and that is based on a few ancillary things that we experienced with them. Maybe they are just experiencing a rough patch as their previous reviews are mostly excellent, but the whole situation that I outline below with them could have been handled better - everything would have been a lot smoother if they had just communicated with us better.1. The most serious thing was that they severed a line of our sprinkler system while digging one of the post holes. Derksen states on their contract that they are not responsible for sprinkler systems, and that's fine. But at least tell us that it happened, we didn't know that anything was wrong until days later when we tried using our system. If we had known, we pcould have had someone out to repair much more quickly, but instead, we had to wait until their was availability, and at this point, we have damage to our brand new lawn.Last point on this - the crew could never say that they didn't know, when we found the break, the line was mangled and you can tell it got caught up in the auger they use to dig the holes.2. In the course of installing the fence, the crew understandably has to move rock out of the way to install the fence. I noticed after installation there were areas that they had not put any rock back, we had a drip line and weed block exposed, as well as our border with the neighbor missing all of the rock. I reached out to Derksen to take care of this, they replied they would take care of it, and as of now they still haven't been by. Not to mention they charge a $900 landscape fee.3. We also wanted to get window well covers through Derksen. We were told someone would be out to do measurements, then we wouldn't hear anything for several days. We reached out to Derksen to find out what was going on and they wouldn't know if someone came out to do the measurements. Sometime after that they told us they would install them at the same time as the fence, but as it turns out, they did not. We ended up calling another local company - called them on a Thursday, the guy came out to do measurements the next Monday, and we had our covers installed that Thursday."

"I was looking to do a concrete fence for the overall product durability, wooden fences seem to degrade rather quickly. I had a great experience with Derksen fence, they came out to do an on the spot estimate for our newly built home. The owner was very responsive with all my inquiries.The fence was installed within two days and the workers even swept the sidewalk when they were done. Great experience, I would do business with them again!"
